Albert Cavazos

For over 20 years, I've helped financial institutions and private investors in Central and South Texas with the design and management of their investment assets.

My philosophy is simple: always place your clients interests first, be a credit to the profession, work hard to give world class service, be honest and competent, and exercise independent professional judgment when giving advice or making investment recommendations.

My professional career began in 1986 working as a National Bank Examiner for the Office of The Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). During my tenure there, I gained extensive experience in banking, with a focus on capital market operations, interest rate risk and investment portfolio management. In late 1989, I began managing a large fixed income (Bond) portfolio for Union National Bank in Laredo, Texas. I was responsible for managing the bank's investment portfolio and trust department assets, as well as the Bank's asset/liability management. In 1992, I moved to Austin, Texas and joined Capital Securities Group, a successful institutional fixed income firm. In 2002, I made a bold decision to shift my focus to mostly private clients. Helping individuals and their families over the last 10 years has provided me with a strong sense of personal and spiritual fulfillment.

Personal Life

Albert has been married to Sandra for over 25 years. They share two daughters, Alexandra and Christina. Albert enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, golfing, hunting, praying and reading.

• CFA, Association of Investment Management & Research (AIMR)
